This crisp and full Italian Chardonnay is made incorporating the tenets of Bio-Dynamic Winemaking. Bio-Dynamic agriculture is the natural evolution of organic farming. It was introduced in 1924 following the guidelines of Rudolf Steiner, founder of the movement. A central aspect of biodynamics is that the farm as a whole is seen as an organism, and therefore should be a closed self-nourishing system.
“The Orlean Hills brand has been in production since the late 1970's. In the mid 80's, it switched to buying only organically grown grapes and by the mid 90's had perfected the production of no sulfite added wines.” (Winemaker’s Notes)
This vineyard has unfolded over the years to produce a typical northern Rhone style Syrah-- solid color, nose and body, with earth and subtle pepper notes sprinkled throughout.
'This beautiful wine made with Certified Organic Grapes has floral orange blossom aromas, juicy fruit, and bright acidity typical of the Torrontes grape grown at an elevation of 3,500 feet in the Famantina Valley."
