Intoxicating nose of brambles, strawberry jam and subtly integrated oak. Astonishingly rich and full, packed with black fruit lavours and palate-caressing smoothness.
Jean-Marc Burgaud is an ambitious winemaker, one of the rising stars in Beaujolais. Best known for his Morgon, he also makes this lovely Beaujolais-Villages. The vineyard forms part of his aunt’s property, the 12th century Chateau de Thulon in the village of Lantignie. There in the ancient cellars of the chateau, he vinifies, ages and bottles his most youthful and charming of wines, redolent of crushed raspberries and kirsch.
