Andrew Will 'Sheridan Vineyard', 2004
Yakima Valley, Red

The wine has licorice and dark fruit flavors along with chocolate and floral (almost violet-like) highlights. The seamless character of the wines from Champoux vineyard makes them easy to appreciate in their youth but after waiting for several years one can see their extraordinary transition from attractive, ripe fruit into wines of maturity and finesse.

For some this has become the premier vineyard in the State of
WA. The recognition that Paul Champoux has received this year is very well placed. The vineyard is a few miles off the Columbia River in mid state. The seamless character of the wines from Champoux vineyard makes them easy to appreciate in their youth but after waiting for several years one can see their extraordinary transition from attractive, ripe fruit into wines of maturity and finesse.
