“The cooler region of Pemberton is well suited to pinot noir, allowing the grape to ripen yet retain delicate nuances of the variety. The typical aromas of cherry, black olive and some toasted oak are accentuated by a sweet fruit palate of berry fruits and cherries. The integrated fine grain tannins and French oak lead into a very long finish.”
A tasty red, with currant, passion fruit and fig, with a hint of spicy vanilla. Medium-bodied, with fine, well-integrated tannins and a clean, chocolaty finish.
“As always the California Zinfandel is a challenging and rewarding wine to produce. Severe selection criteria and master blending show in the final product, which showcases a wide array of dark berry fruit including black cherry and raspberry. Additionally, spice notes and a lasting finish of vanilla from oak aging and firm, supple tannins add complexity to this wine. This wine is ready to drink now and will continue to develop complexity over the next three to four years.”

A rich, full bodied Cotes du Rhone exhibiting both depth and complexity on the palate. This wine features solid grenache fruit offering a long deep finish with some earthiness and very smooth, integrated tannins.

"Showing warm flavors of stone fruit with hints of truffle this wine warms in the glass to show earthy nuances. Very aromatic palate, richly layered with a soft supple finish."

"The 2008 Stickleback Red, a blend of 61% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Dolcetto and Lagrein (a grape native to Alto Adige) that was aged for 12 months in seasoned French and American oak. Purple-colored, it displays an alluring perfume of cedar, tobacco, earth notes, black currant, and blueberry. Layered on the palate with some complex flavors, this attractive blend over-delivers for its humble price."

"An exquisite value, this is a seductive, fleshy, fruity wine with excellent texture, body, and balance. Lots of cassis as well as silky tannins characterize this top bargain pick! Drink it over the next 5-7 years."
